English Language & Education

High Education Standards

Due to the fact that English is the lingua franca of Ireland, the importance and high standard of third level education have both been fundamental factors in Ireland's recent economic success.

The percentage of university graduates in Ireland is at its highest in Galway confirmed by the latest Irish census www.cso.ie. Irish people are outgoing and friendly. Communication skills and education are highly prized and seen as essential to future growth and success.

Education has always been highly prized in the west of Ireland since pre-Christian times and modern government policy has been to extend the range of courses and options available to both Irish and international students seeking to improve their career and educational qualifications in Ireland. The education system has been constantly under review and the establishment of the National Qualifications Association of Ireland means that it is easy to compare Irish and European qualifications across all disciplines and levels of achievement.

Galway Business School

Galway Business School, our sister school, provides quality third level qualifications in a variety of Business and Financial disciplines to both Irish and international students. Since 2000 Galway Business School has been running programmes in marketing, business, finance and psychology. Our programmes include Higher National Diploma and Honours Bachelors Degree programmes. Students have the opportunity to progress from English language programmes onto our HND and Degree Programmes. There is also the option of combining short courses and semester programmes with a course in English language study. For further information please see www.galwaybusinessschool.ie.
