Omniplex Cinema Experience!

The Omniplex Cinema in Salthill is probably the best cinema experience in the county! Comfy recliner seats, numerous screens, all the snacks you'd ever want, refillable drinks and a great location makes it the best place to go watch that must-see movie of the year with your pals! And, to top it off, there's the much vaunted and appreciated Omnipass, which, for just 14.99 a month, allows you to watch all the movies you want (just once, mind!). Bring your buddies and go!

Tedfest 2024

Tedfest is a celebration of the smash 1990's comedy Father Ted, based on the misadventures of three hapless priests struggling through life on a remote island in the west of Ireland. Expect a lot of hijinks, general mischief and utter madness for three straight days! Events include: Kicking Bishop Brenann up the Arse and the Virtual Confession Box. Best not to ask to many questions and just go to see what's what!

The Celtic Tales Storytelling Show is back again this year and running every Thursday night from the 22nd of February to the 19 of December! Social Activity Programme
GCI offers a weekly activity social programme with many options to choose from. The activity programme is designed monthly, and some highlights may include cultural events across the city and county, practical workshops on various themes and topics from grammar clinics to CV preparation and Irish culture, volunteer opportunities or weekend trips to famous landscapes across Ireland and the Wild Atlantic Way. The social activity programme enables students to enhance their learning experiences by practicing their English skills in the real world and getting to know other English students outside of the classroom.
Our main social activities are listed above and a more detailed breakdown of daily activities available in the school is available below. During the summer, students can book activities during the lunch break, Monday to Thursday in Halla Mor.
