Why Study Abroad In Ireland
If you want to study abroad, I recommend to go to Galway.
I am Midori and I am from Japan and today I will tell you about my study abroad experience in Galway, at Galway Cultural Institute, where I was studying English for a month. In the blog below I will write about the reasons I chose to come to Ireland, about Japanese life in Galway and finally a conclusion of my experience learning English in Ireland.
Why did I chose Ireland
What do you want to do when you go to language school? Of course you want to study a second language or more. Also that’s what I thought as well, therefore I choose Ireland. If I have chosen a “popular country”, I could have missed my chance of speaking English because there are a lot of Japanese. Ireland. especially Galway, is the best option for a Japanese person to come and study English as there a few Japanese so you get to speak in English all the time with people from around the world.
Japanese life in Galway
First of all, I had such a great time in Galway, especially living with my host family which was excellent. They were always concern about me while I was in Galway, making dinner everyday (I love the curry from my host mother!), cup of tea after meal or Irish breakfast. I also met many of their friends as they used to invite them over for a tea and a small talk. It was an exciting and a memorable Galway experience for me. They have different customs so you can enjoy a different culture and maybe even find a new life.
