As part of our English for Business & Professionals suite, GCI offers intensive Combination courses which allow students to combine General English 20 group lessons in the morning with 6 or 10 lessons of One to One training in the afternoons. The One-to-One component of the course involves a negotiated syllabus.

This programme is designed for students wishing to improve their overall level of English by combining both English group lessons and one-to- one learning experience, allowing our students to experience the best of both worlds. The Combination course is the perfect option for learners who want to better their general English abilities as well as focus on their individual requirements.
This course is ideal if you need to work on a specific area of language or practice for a particular meeting, presentation or upcoming event at your workplace, college or university.
By the end of this course students:
The General English part of the course aims to develop the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently using English language. All aspects of language are covered: communication skills (both written and oral), listening skills, reading skills and language appraisal.
Each student completes a Needs Analysis Questionnaire before or on arrival. The teacher then uses the course proposal to develop a tailored course. Language input comes from various sources for the one-to-one part of the course including course books, newspapers, the internet etc. to facilitate the learning outcomes of the participant. The teaching approach is communicative and task based with the emphasis on language production.
The One-to-One element will quickly improve student’s general or specialised English. We cater for many professional areas, including sales, marketing, management, etc. We also help students to prepare for business presentations, negotiations or meetings, and develop key communication skills such as telephoning, business correspondence and report writing. We also offer CV and interview preparation skills.
