Not only is the FCE Cambridge First qualification the most favoured Cambridge exam, it is also widely accepted around the world by thousands of employers and universities. It proves that your English level is sufficient to live, work and study in an English speaking environment.
This Cambridge First FCE (EP36) exam preparation course is a very intensive four-week programme of 36 lessons / 27 hours per week that runs in June, July and August. It is for people who are short on time but high in motivation.
If you need to gain an international English language qualification to prove your level to your employer, your university, or if you have ambitious personal or career goals, it is the perfect course for your future career.
For this course, a B2+ / Upper-Intermediate level on the CEFR is essential. Our students always sit the official exam here in GCI at the end of their course. Galway Cultural Institute (GCI) is an authorised Cambridge English Test Centre. Remember, not all language schools that offer Cambridge exam preparation courses are certified testing centres so this is a very big advantage of studying at GCI.
The aim of our Cambridge First FCE examination programmes is to ensure that our students are fully prepared for every aspect of the examination. By the end of the course, you will be familiar with the FCE exam format; you will have significantly improved upon your language use in all four skills; reading, writing , speaking and listening skills.

In each and every lesson, you will be developing your English Language skills of reading, speaking, listening and writing. The lessons will use tasks which are designed to replicate the exam style. Your lessons will address all areas of the Cambridge First Cert exam - Reading and Use of English, Listening, Speaking, and Writing and the best approaches for each paper. You will be introduced to a range of new vocabulary and grammar that will prepare you for the exam and give you every opportunity to achieve the result you need.
