English for Over 30 Programme

If you're looking for an English language course specifically designed for individuals over the age of 30, with small group sizes - you should certainly consider our 30+ programme. This programme takes into account the needs and interests of adult learners who are at a different stage of life and perhaps need English as part of their professional life. 

On this 30+ programme, you will have General English lessons with other international students of a similar age profile, 30+. You can take this programme with any level of English from CEFR level A1 - C1 (Elementary to Advanced) If would like to improve your English in smaller classes, this is the course for you!

You can start a 30+ programme any Monday from 27 April to 11 September.

Who is the English for over 30 course for?

Our 30+ English course is designed specifically for more mature students wishing to learn English in a professional and focused environment with like-minded peers.

The course is tailored to students aged 30+ and over who aim to improve all areas of their English language skills in a diverse and exciting English language programme. Students are enabled to develop all aspects of their English in a supportive classroom environment with a low student-teacher ratio.

English for 30 plus provides a great opportunity to study English with peers of a similar age in our schooling Galway and develop networking opportunities with other international learners. Students from all over the world choose to study English with us, so on your course, you can make friends with people from everywhere, providing you with a cultural experience that will really open up your world view.

Course Objectives

The English courses for adults 30+ are designed to help language learners to interact more effectively in a formal environment and to develop the practical skills required to succeed in a constantly evolving global workplace. We welcome clients from varied backgrounds including business executives, teachers, postgraduate students and professional individuals specialized in various industries. The syllabi are designed to deliver learner outcomes based on the Common European Framework (CEF) ‘Can Do Statements ‘and meet the communicative needs of our learners.

Course content 

English for 30+ 

The English for 30+ course covers general language skills such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing, or they may be tailored to specific purposes like business English if you opt for the English for 30+ Executive programme.  

You can study 20 lessons each week in a mini group of maximum 8 learners. With maximised learner interaction and language production in a small group, our 30+ curriculum is specially designed for determined and career-driven learners, with a focus on boosting your English communication skills.

English for 30+ Executive

The English for 30+ Executive course maintains the small class size and offers 30 lessons by combining the morning lessons with 10 lessons of one to one English tuition. This allows your experience to be tailored specifically to meet your individual needs and makes this option ideal for those looking to elevate their professional capabilities and excel in their respective roles. 

Whether you're preparing for leadership positions or simply looking to enhance your business communication, this tailored course will provide you with the tools and confidence you need to succeed. 

On your English for 30+ Executive course, your morning classes will be in an international group class and your afternoons will focus on your individual learning needs - it is a winning combination!
