From Your First Day

Free WiFi throughout the building. Check at Reception for passwords and log on details.

Student Library The GCI student library has a huge range of reading materials from graded readers at different levels to novels and Irish Interest. The library is always supervised by a teacher who can help you with any study questions you may have or any study advice you may need.

Reception You can come to Reception at any time (before or after you lessons) with queries or questions.  We are here to help and support you. 

Other services If you need special assistance with medical reasons, if you require counselling or other services, GCI has a range of these available - please tell us or ask to speak in private. You can also email privately to info@gci.ie

Student Printing services Printing & Photocopying is easy. You simply register your student card by logging on to the 'gespace' server provided. To create a new account, a username and a password. Under card ID you should enter the 8 digit number from the back of your student card. The printing instructions are clear and easy to use and you can find them in the printing room. After you register you can buy printing credit at Reception. You can print in black & white for €0.10 per page.

Ease of Access We have a lift / elevator in the school for easy access to all floors.

Student Spaces GCI has a large common room – The Halla Mór or Big Hall in English. Here you can meet friends, play games, relax or maybe do Irish dancing! There is also a seated area in the Foyer where you can relax and chat with your new friends.

Computer Access There are designated Computer access points for teachers which are shared with GBS lecturers.

Coffee Shop There is a coffee shop – Chef Laura Rosso-  on the ground floor for delicious coffees, speciality teas and hot lunches. This is not a GCI business but run by an external company.

Outdoor Areas There is an outdoor deck, garden and paved areas around the school with parking for bicycles.

Parking there is Galway Corporation parking at the rear of the building (ocean side).  At the moment, parking charges do not apply
